This project was for my studio III, commercial studio class. Initially, each student chose a current, living architect as a basis for our inspiration and approach. We were given the outer shell of the building, along with a shared core area. Each of us was to design an office space to occupy the fifth floor of this building. The clients/ tenants of this space were to be an advertising firm that desired to utilize an open space plan coupled with a select few private offices. The space had to be ANSI compliant and follow all building codes and regulations regarding occupancy load and egress. As a class we also learned about LEED, and we were all to do further research in this area and implement ideas and design features that would earn LEED points.
